I wish that when there is an open appt that we could just click on the slot and then the pt name to fill the slot.

But this way forces the staff to actually state a reason for the visit so you can be ready for it or know if pressed to get in a last minute sick kid, what the other visits are... but what I put in there on the phone perhaps should not become the main header of your note....

This would work nicely with a drag-and-drop method.

The system must allow the creation of numerous appointment types. For example New Patient Appointment, yearly physical, etc. These would have time limits.

To schedule an appt, you would find the patient from a list and simply drag and drop him/her on the open slot and then specify the appt type!
