Hello all
My schedule is different every other week (eg. long Monday- short Monday- long Monday- short Monday, etc.) But when I set up my schedule on AC the template is a repeating one week. How do I change my repeating template to every 2 weeks?
Thanks

I don't know of any way to do that with a single schedule. I guess you could have Khaled1 and Khaled2 as providers with Khaled1 having long Mondays and Khaled2 having short mondays but I think that would be cumbersome and really not solve the problem.

The very tedious way to do it is to have the entire schedule be your "long" schedule. Then manually go in and every other week block off the times when you are not there so it can be schedule.

Yeah, no easy way to do it. I also just noticed another big problem: the schedule doesn't allow for 2 blocks of endoscopy time on the same day. I was hoping to achieve that by having a long break in the middle of the day between the 2 blocks, but the break tops at 3 hours. This is getting very frustrating!! It seems AC is mainly intended for primary care.

Definitely the scheduler and letter writer are two of the weaknesses especially for specialists. Granted, for straightforward scheduling and letter writer, they work great. But being able to adapt them to your particular practice is the difficult part. That's a basic problem with most EMRs in my opinion. If you try to be everything for everybody, they end up so bulky that they are miserable to use.

The only way that I know of to block more than 3 hours is to manually go, week by week, and manually select the column on the very left of the schedule, click where you want the block to start, hold shift, click where you want the block to end, then click the "block" box at the top. Again, it's tedious if you need your block to be longer than 3 hours, but doable.

I've said this before, but Microsoft Word is the epitome of great software. Very simple to use for basic things but has the ability to be very complex for those with more demanding needs without being obtrusive. Need to be more like Word.

And to be fair to AC, I don't know of too many people who have alternating schedules per each week. So building this functionality into the scheduler would be a moderate amount of programming for very few who would benefit from it. The best plan is to simply take about 30-60 minutes and manually go in every other week and block off the times.

Now the break being limited to 3 hours would be an easy fix I would think and should be extended up to 6 hours or so
