When the doctor in our office opens up a patient chart in the system, under the "Most Recent Encounter" tab, he notices that the problem list is not generated in the drop-down menu located above the "assessment" window. However, when he looks into the chart that has his own name, the problem list is generated in the same drop-down menu. The problem list also doesn't show any information in the "summary" tab.

Any idea on how to fix this problem?

Not sure why there is a difference, but whatever diagnosis you enter via the ICD-9 window/database, will then show up in the dropdown box. It has to as that is how it is populated. The diagnoses (not really problems)also show up in the Problem List in the summary sheet.
