A patient search field on the "Orders" view would be nice, or the ability to show only the patient selected on the home screen. The "Show This Patient" on this screen is a frustrating fake-out. As I understand it, the only time a single patient's orders can be shown on this screen is when the program pulls it up from a message. (Scrolling down the list of orders gets tedious when trying to link results, change status, etc.)

Which brings me to the second request: The ability to update the status of orders (e.g. labs, etc.) and link imported items from the "Past Encounters" tab of the patient's chart. ??You can only "view" the orders from the chart, not update, reprint them, etc.??

Which raises the third request: On the Past Encounters tab, changing the "Print" so it prints the actual orders, not just the list from the window.

Yes...need to be able to work with the "orders" to update status from within the patients chart...I will try from the past encounters tab. I have found no way to access the order reconciliation from inside the patient chart. It would also be nice to be able to look at "orders" in the reconciliation screen from oldest to newest. Usually I'm getting orders back from a week ago or two or three days ago, not the orders I just did that day. Every time I try to reconcile, I have to scroll through all the newest to get to the oldest that come in first. e.g. I get the CT scan I ordered a week ago before I get the one I ordered today. There needs to be a better link to the patients chart and results with the orders section. Too bad the order in the patients chart are printed and sent at the same time. Too many clicks to print and save.

I believe in the Orders screen you can sort the orders by clicking on any of the visible field headers (e.g. Patient, Date, etc.). Hope that helps.
(A search function would be even nicer!)
