This is going to add one more post for me but wanted to share my workaround.

In writing a message attached to a name, it cannot be saved to the chart before sending. It can be saved up receipt. I send the nurse and myself a copy and then save it to the chart.

I have found that if you put your own name in the TO box, it will let you save the message to the chart without sending. Then you just delete the message from your mailbox. Does this work for others of you?

Vicki,
My version of AC lets me save a message directly to the chart. (I just tested to make sure it works). Highlight the patients name in the patient list, click the red paper clip, write in the message and click the Save to Chart. It saved and cleared, then showed up as an " Interim Message Alert" when I opened Past Encounters".
?? Why would my version work differently than yours??
?? Is this another example of " The ghost of missing messages"?? ( Just kidding... I am not into conspiracy theories.)
