How many providers are routinely recommending Menactra at the 12 year old visit?

How many are routinely recommending it for 13 yo to 18 yo for catchup even at a visit for an upper respiratory virus?

I was unaware of the new guidelines that ACIP and CDC came out with last year about giving shot at 11 - 12 year visit. And, giving it to all patients who did not get it at that visit up to 18 years of age. And, if the recommendation is 11 - 12, do you give the TdAP and Menactra at the 11 yo visit?

Maybe it is just I, but we heard plenty about the second Varivax recommendation and the Hep A along with the RotaTeq. You can't even see a patient over nine years of age whose parent doesn't bring up Gardasil, but for whatever reason, I missed the bulletin on Menactra being recommended for everyone over 11 years of age.

Thanks. My patient recovered (with a lot of prayers and great PICU doctors and nurses).

How are you explaining GBS to everyone?
